Halloween Characters

Halloween Characters

Halloween is a fun night
With lots of strange creatures to see.
There are black cats,
And giant bats,
Let's meet some more, shall we?

 - Vampire -
Vampires have pale white skin
They just come out at night.
Give one half a chance and he
Will give your neck a bite.

 - Witch -
A witch flies past on her broomstick,
Over the roof of your house.
It would be better
Not to upset her,
She'd turn you into a mouse.

 - Skeleton -
Skeletons walk about the town.
They have no skin, just bone.
Sometimes for fun they play their ribs
Just like a xylophone

 - Ghost -
I am a spooky ghost
Being scary's what I do.
I like to sneak behind people
And whisper softly "Wooooo!"

 - Mummy -
I come from ancient Egypt
They call me the mummy.
Bandages cover my arms, my legs,
My head, my chest, my tummy.

 - Werewolf -
The sun is going down,
It will be night time soon.
The werewolf will be coming out
And howling at the moon.

 - The Headless Horseman -
I am the headless horseman,
Has anyone seen my head?
Oh never mind, there's a pumpkin,
That'll do instead!

 - Jack O'Lantern -
There are lots of monsters about tonight,
But you'll be safe, don't worry.
The Jack o'lantern will scare them off,
They won't be back in a hurry.

 - Demon -
With its scary horns & giant wings
Everyone's scared of the demon.
All he has to do is smile,
And people run off screamin'.

 - Grim Reaper -
The grim reaper looks very scary,
But it's not really what he intends.
With his scythe and his hood,
He is misunderstood,
He really just wants to be friends.

 - The Devil -
Two horns, a tail, a trident...
Must be the devil, I guess.
No wait, that's not the devil, it's
A boy in fancy dress.

 - Zombie -
A zombie shuffles and staggers,
Eyes rolled, arms outstretched,
"The Walking Dead"
It's often said
(But I think that's far-fetched).

October Ends

Fill up the tub with water,
  Apple bobbin' time is here.
We're going to have a party,
For it is that time of year.

The pumpkin pies are ready,

New made cider, oh so sweet.
Autumn leaves are falling,
  This season can't be beat.

   Soon October will be over,
  Halloween will come and go.
It won't be long till Santa,
Comes a riding through the snow.

Halloween Party

We’re having a Halloween party at school.
I’m dressed up like Dracula. Man, I look cool!
I dyed my hair black, and I cut off my bangs.
I’m wearing a cape and some fake plastic fangs.

I put on some makeup to paint my face white,
like creatures that only come out in the night.
My fingernails, too, are all pointed and red.
I look like I’m recently back from the dead.

My mom drops me off, and I run into school
and suddenly feel like the world’s biggest fool.
The other kids stare like I’m some kind of freak—
the Halloween party is not till next week.

Little Skeletons

Little Skeletons / Esqueletitos helps teach kids how to tell time, while reminding them of exactly how valuable time is, that each hour should be lived, no matter how simple or how extraordinary the moment.

The Witch’s Song

The Witch’s Song, from Macbeth

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;

Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,

Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing,

For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.

Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.

Halloween Good Night

Magic Mommy Kisses

Each night I tuck you into bed
I brush my hand across your head
and in each tiny little fist
I place a magic mommy kiss.

Full of love and hope so bright
To keep you safely through the night,
Mommy kisses in your hand
To guide you off to slumber-land.

If you should dream of monsters mean
Or witches with faces masked in green,
Of snakes that squeeze you oh-so-tight
Or darkness with no sign of light.

When nightmares hold you stiff with fear
A part of mommy still is near.
Just open up your hand and blow
One mommy kiss and nightmares go.

The Goblin

    There's a goblin as green
        as a goblin can be.
    Who is sitting outside
        and is waiting for me.

When he knocked on my door
        and said softly, "Come play!"
    I answered,"No thank you,
       now please,go away!"

    But the goblin as green
         as a goblin can be.
    Is still sitting outside
           and is waiting for me.

If You Never

If you've never seen an old witch
Riding through the sky--
Or never felt big bat's wings
Flopping, as they fly--

If you've never touched a white thing
Gliding through the air,
And knew it was a ghost because
You got a dreadful scare--

If you've never heard the night owls,
Crying, "Whoo-whoo-whoo?"
And never jumped at pumpkin eyes
Gleaming out at you--

If all of these exciting things
You've never heard or seen,
Why then--you've missed a lot of fun,
Because--that's HALLOWEEN!

Mystic-magination Night

On one mystic magic night,
Jack O Lanterns glowing bright,
kids with bags of candy sweet,
roam door to door and street to street,
all dressed up for trick or treat!

Wizards with wands, pirates with hooks,
monsters and clowns with spooky looks,

Kings and queens with capes and crowns,
A princess in her royal gown,

Witches with warts and fairies with wings
Movies stars with sparkling rings,

Vampires with fangs that bite,
Ghosts that boo all dressed in white.

Imaginations taken flight,
on that one mystic magic night.

Oh, the fun of Halloween,
be young or old or in between!

Halloweeners

Halloween is coming,
Ghosts and Goblins everywhere.
Little Monsters shouting,
Giving everyone a scare.

Pirates with an eyepatch,
Clowns and Rabbits too
Little Clowns with great big feet,
And a Pumpkin that says 'Boo'!

Little knuckles rapping,
On your windowpane.
And a scary Headless Horseman,
Walking down the lane.

And when your door is opened,
All these spooky things appear.
Grownups are so thankful,
That is comes just once a year.

Trick-or-Treaters are so happy,
As they scamper down the street.
For them this celebration,
Sure is hard to beat.

Think way back to your childhood,
When you went door to door.
And if you weren't 'treated',
Then you evened up the score.

But there's no more 'trick-or-treating',
Halloween is not the same.
Just hand the little ones the loot,
But please, let's change the name.

Don't call it 'trick-or-treating',
We'll call it 'Hand-Out-Day' instead.
Then when the kids get full of sweets,
We'll tuck them into bed.

No more soap upon the windows,
No confetti on the floor.
The kids may still enjoy it,
But to me it's now a bore!

Oh No

Oooh Nooo!

There are witches in my mailbox. What am I to do?

I found them there this morning,
doing things they shouldn't do!!

How the witches got there,
I haven't got a clue.
But they won't be there much longer
because I'm sending them to
YOU!!!!!!
Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Time

Now it's time for Halloween
Oh what funny things are seen.
Pumpkins glowing as they stare
Black cats creeping everywhere.

Ghost, witches, goblins too
Scary time for me and you
Trick or treat a time for fun
Grab your treat before you run.

Do you see a witch up high
Think I saw her pass me by
Imagination is a wonderful thing
Make believe and it will bring.

Don't be afraid just have your fun
Then hurry home when you are done.
Check your treats put away your fear
Before Halloween is over for another year.

Halloween Fun

Now is when the goblins
Make their yearly rounds
You can hear their voice
As they make their happy sounds.

Trick or treat, trick or treat
Rings to and fro
Scary characters all dressed up
Everywhere you go.

Ghost flying by in a dark stilled night
Witches hide somewhere out there
Jack 0 Lanterns glow bright
As children collect their fare.

A lot of fun pretending
Yes, scary it can be
But just remember on this night
You see what you want to see.

Booooooo!!

Spooktacular Halloween

It will be a scary night
On this Hallow’s Eve
With witches, spooks & monsters too
If that’s what you believe

When that knock comes at your door
And you see that eerie sight
Of ghosts and goblins running round
In the darkness of the night

If they start to giggle
And then yell, “Trick-or-Treat”
Put away your fears & give them all
Candy nice and sweet

For you should not be frightened
There’ll be no need to fear
It’s only children dressing up
For Halloween this year

Have a “Spook-tacular” Halloween

Batty Halloween

Hi, my name is Igor
I am a vampire bat
I come out every Halloween
Can you imagine that?

I live within a deep dark cave
And hide away all year
But now it’s time to laugh & play
Cuz Halloween is here!

I flew straight to your house today
To bring this special greet
May you have fun on Halloween
And lots of sweets to eat!

Have a Happy “Batty” Halloween

It's Halloween

It's Halloween

Are you ready for ghost and goblins
Is the pumpkins carved nice and neat
Do you have a scarecrow ready
Bet your decorations can't be beat.

Do you have your treats handy
By the door when goblins come
Do you think that they will be scary
I am sure that there will be some.

Hear the echo of little voices
Pitter patter of little feet
Voices yell in unison
Happy Halloween trick or treat.

Better give them a treat or two
There will be houses they may pick
For those without goodies will surely get
Some kind of a foolish trick.

So be prepared and have some fun
For curfew will end it all
Wasn't it fun watching the goblins
Don't we all truly have a ball?

Happy Halloween My Friend!

Twas Halloween

T’was a Halloween, not long ago
On a dark and dreary night
I saw a little witch about
Which gave me such a fright

As that little witch came closer
Imagine my surprise
I saw the cutest little face
And a pair of blue blue eyes

She couldn’t have really been a witch
She looked just way too sweet
It must have been a child dressed up
And playing Trick-or-Treat

As you go out this Halloween
I send this wish with you
May all the witches that you meet
Be cute and friendly too!
